This excellent volume traces the 'development' of the French infantry arm of the Revolutionary Wars, through the Empire and into the first restoration, beginning with the end of the old Royal Army. The amalgamations are covered in detail and the tables are very easy to understand and use. It was published in 1824. Highly recommended. It is an invaluable resource.
I was lucky a few years ago to find a print copy which makes the tables much easier to follow than a copy on line.
