I understand that the British landed a force to secure Marseilles on or around 11 July 1815. The fleet was under Exmouth and the landing force was under Hudson Lowe and Colonel Burrows. Does anyone know which troops came ashore? It was an Anglo-Sicilian force that had just been in Genoa.
