Performance of Prussian Landwehr

You're right, there was no real reason to distinguish between the landwehr of Westphalia and the rest. I suppose you could if you emphasized Westphalia's having been an independent kingdom for a few years.

The Kingdom of Westphalia was an artificial creation by the grace of Boney, was it independent? Jerome had to act as Boney wished.

As far as I am aware of, the Royal Army of Westphalia did not have Landwehr units.

With the collapse of Boney's empire in 1814 - Prussia gained some land in the Westphalian region, there they formed Landwehr units, which fought as part of the Prussian Army - in the 1815 campaign along with other Landwehr units of other Prussian provinces.

Of course they could be distinguished by the colour of their collars, as other Prussian Landwehr units did, like yellow for Silesia, Westphalian Landwehr in case I remember correctly, had green collars

I think the question is posed in a too general manner. From what I have read in plenty of memoirs and regimental histories, my impression is that the main factor for the performance of a Prussian battalion or cavalry regiment, be it Landwehr or line, was the personality of the commander.

Trying to classify the units by province doesn't help as you have for example the 1st and 3rd Westphalian Landwehr infantry performing excellently throughout the 1815 campaign (according to their - potentially biased - regimental histories ), and the 5th Westphalian Landwehr infantry (under adverse circumstances) causing the flight of the 5th Brigade at Ligny, and the 2nd and 4th Westphalian Landwehr, of which unfortunately we hardly know anything.
