Back again from afar with more images in search of titles and/or artists. Can anyone be of assistance?
The first image is, I believe, from Marengo involving the gunner Barailler. The second, by Job, is from around the same time period, but who is being buried? The third, the Emperor, some Marshals, and a treaty? The last has really got me. Definately allegorical but what do the figures represent? The victories of the past? The future? Both? Definately not the fates (only three).
Any Help appreciated.
"Vision de Napoléon à la veille des désastres" by Edmond Louis Dupain
Thanks for the assist. When working with more than 9,000 images, all help is appreciated!
The first pic is a painting of an event at Marengo. Cannonier Barailler was supposed to be the only gunner to survive an Austrian hussar attack at Marengo. He refused to surrender and shot a hussar with his pistol. I suspect he hid under the gun when the cavalry swept through and the tale was embellished, although he did die on the gun. There were no Kurassier at the battle, so the tale is that he was killed by hussars. If it were Hussars, then this would have happened down on the southern part of the battlefield with the Austrian right under O'Reilly. The painting is by Alphonse Lalauze.
Hard to believe that he who knows how to upload images should be unable to do a proper Google Images search. All questions would be answered in a more than satisfactory way...

The second image is the funeral of Theophile de la Tour d'Auvergne by JOB from G. Montogueil, La Tour D'Auvergne: Premier Grenadier de France (Paris 1902).
